Centro Medico Sant'Agostino
“Società e salute” (“society and health”) is an initiative by OLTRE VENTURE, the first Italian Impact Investing vehicle created by Luciano Balbo in 2009
It operates primarily through the “Centro Medico Sant’Agostino spa” (www.cmsa.it), founded in 2010 and fully controlled by “Società e salute”.
Centro Medico Sant’Agostino (CMS) offers specialised medical assistance in 18 (10 in 2016) specialised medical centres, of which 13 in Milan, 2 in Sesto San Giovanni (MI), 1 in Buccinasco (MI), 1 in Bologna and 1 in Brescia, for a total of 174 ambulatories and 635 working professionals.
In 2017, CMS recorded an extraordinary growth, over 50% as concerns both the gains and the operational margins, and forecasts for the end of 2018 are of an expanding considerable growth, potentially in line with that of 2017, and this would be an extraordinary result.
In 2018, indeed, further centres have opened, particularly in Cimiano (in Milan, Palmanova area), Sesto San Giovanni (in the town centre, adding to the previous one, overcrowded), Buccinasco (South Milan) and new headquarters in Brescia.
At the end of 2017, imaging diagnostic was launched in the headquarters of Via Manunzio (Milan, Repubblica area) and vaccinations service were added, becoming popular beyond expectations among clients.
In 2018 the company’s new headquarters were moved in a new premise in Via Temperanza 6, in Milan.
At the end of 2018 CMS turnover exceeded euro 30m in revenues and Ebitda was in the range of 2.3m, with an increase of 76%.

In 2019 the goal is to reach a turnover of just under 40 mln and the performance of the company seems to indicate the achievement of the objectives.
